Yes the same for me. It was happening intermittently, but since running the update, it happens on every save. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling and deleting preferences but nothing is working. Michelle, if you look in the windows event viewer, what does it say the faulting module is? If you’re running CC The Windows faulting module says Photoshop. Windows faulting module says: Faulting application name: Photoshop. When I go into the adobe settings folder there isn’t a folder within there that says crash logs of even anything similar.

Very strange. Have you tried restarting the computer or restoring your preferences? Mark, Does crash reporter come up after you crash? What does the crash log have in it? No crash report but it turns out it was my MacBook Pro that was acting up. I’ve never had any problems with it and I just figured it was the updated PS app that was the problem. After restart all is well. Sorry I couldn’t be more help.

I thought it was my computer , filling up my HD but its not now that I see all of the above comments, bought more memory, bought another 4T backup and dumped a lot of folders. Im frustrated!!! Hi, Yesterday, experienced a specific file which would consistently cause my Photoshop CC to crash on save. The usual workarounds of duplicating layers to a new document and saving that did not work. While working with the file, my iMac late visibly struggled with performance in PS — it would easily take s for any change to update on-screen.

It turned out that the file created by one of our juniors had a large dropshadow effect applied to the parent group — removing this layer effect fixed the crash problem, and completely fixed the performance issues. A colleague working on Windows did not experience the crash.
